OK, I can't get these pics in the right place! This is about my 5th edit trying to get this spaced right. Hopefully Amy or Robyn will help me when they get here later.

Most of you know, Cecil and I, along with our com padres and best friends, James and Charla are the ministry leaders for our "Silvertones," our 55 and older group. This has been a blessing in our lives for about 12 years. We plan an activities once a month and we're known to have done some very crazy and also serious things. We have a core group of about 50-75, and they have truly blessed and impacted our lives. We have several other couples who help us also, The Gurleys, Armsteads, and Trollingers. This past month we had an "Italian dinner." We served the usual, lasagna, spaghetti, bread stick, salad, and of course Italian cream cake. Charla and I unfortunately for them were the entertainment. Charla was "Dean Martin" and sang That's Amorie, and then the two of us were "crazy" Italian chefs on a cooking show. We cooked Italian soup, made with alot of disgusting things. We cleaned the refrigerator out in the Annex, which had alot of stuff growing in it. This all went in our soup! Only one person would try it and he didn't make it.(It was actually in the script and the victim was James). The silvertones are always telling us they appreciate what we do, and we tell them it's the best therapy ever to plan things for them. We're having our big Thanksgiving dinner in a few weeks and we can't wait! This is one of our biggest events, and a great time to be thankful and blessed.

Girls, Girls, and Girls

This past weekend the girls and I took a "Girls trip to Dallas." Kristi and I flew out Thursday night and Amy & Robyn Friday afternoon. We had a ball, just shopping and eating. We found a new best friend, the GPS Lady. She took us all over the Dallas area. Kristi and I only got turned around once, which was on the toll road, but she got us back on track immediately. It was so nice to be with all my girls and we did laugh alot., like 3:00 am Sat. morning. We were all awake at the same time!! Amy had a stomach bug when she got there Friday night, but after she went to bed, she was good to go Sat. and Sunday. Also, another lady grabbed Robyn's suitcase at the airport, not checking the name, so we were lucky enough the claims dept. called the lady. The girl was embarassed, but at least Robyn got her luggage back within about 15 minutes. I'm the luckiest Mom in the world to have 3 wonderful and loving daughters. It couldn't get any better than that. Check Amy's and Robyn's blog for more pics. YEs, Cecil and Grandma made it just fine, Shannel came over Friday to babysit Grandma and CJ took over from there. He even cooked Ham, fried pototoes, and pork n beans for supper Friday night. What a man!!!!!

Grandma loves being outside, but not getting her picture taken.

From Kids to Grandma's

Sorry it's been so long since I posted, I'll try to do better. I did try to put pictures on my last post, but did something wrong. Maybe this time I'll get it. Some of you know Cecil's Mom, Wanda(Grandma) lives with us now. She is doing good and seems very happy at our crazy busy house. The kids I keep including her great grand kids love her being here. They have definitely developed a relationship with her and also her with them. Kadee goes with me every morning to wake Grandma up and get her up. She squeals when she sees Grandma and that puts a smile on her face. We keep crackers in her headboard and she's not happy until she has a cracker. Grandma has bears in her room, and Ryder likes to turn on the one that plays "I'm proud to be an American." Callie and Mia come in and when it's time, Callie puts on Grandma's ballet slippers as she calls them. Then we proceed to the kitchen and Kadee and Ryder have to sit by her and eat more breakfast with her. We are all blessed by having Grandma with us permanently.
