A slumber party full of fun!!

The girls decided they wanted to spend the night Tuesday since they were out of school. So they all packed their bags and what a night we had. Of course, the girls picked pizza to eat and boy do they like it. Pa always gets into the action with the kids, so he taught Kadee to raise her arms and say "touchdown." He was trying to get her to just raise her hand and say hi, but both arms would go up. After supper, while the other girls were playing, Kadee made it known to Pa she wanted M&M's. Pa has his Dad's M&M dispenser we gave him years ago, the one my girls use to beg M&Ms from his Dad . So he gets the M&M dispenser, puts it on the bar with Kadee in front of him, gives Kadee a handful of M&M's. Then out of the blue she sneezes all over Pa, not the usual, but a mouthful of M&Ms. That's when I got the camera and took these nasty pics. It was so funny, Kadee tried to eat the droppings off his chest. But of course, we didn't let her do that. She is quite a character!! After the girls played, they watched Polar Express since we're going to ride it this weekend. They all sleep in our room, just like our girls used to do. Those are the memories our girls still talk about, getting their sleeping bags and everybody finding a place on the floor in our room. Aunt Kristi had to tuck them all in, and amazingly all were out in a flash.

Busy Busy House

It's been a very busy week at my house, which is nothing unusual. The kids had a Thanksgiving Feast at school on Tuesday, so they were wired when we got home. After being home,5 minutes, the state food agency decided to make an unannounced visit to monitor me. Everything that could happen did. The phone rang twice, and the kids were hanging from the ceiling, two got into a screaming match, but through all this, I did pass. The lady observed them having their snack said, "well, they all seemed happy." I was relieved when she left. This is the first time the state(Dept. of Ag) came. They do to different cities and pop in, making sure you're doing what your are suppose to be doing. I have another agency under them that monitor me every 4 months. On Wednesdays, Amy and Robyn stay for supper since church is only 5 minutes away. It's a busy night, starting with giving baths and washing 4 girls hair. We then go to bible class looking all clean and pretty! We girls have been teaching the 6 mon-1yr class, just finishing up our term. These pics show just of touch of what a week at our house is like, and I wouldn't change a thing, even if it is crazy!

Kadee decided to paint herself with mashed pototoes!

Yummy, good eatin! They don't look so happy though.

Lots of food!

Lots of fellowship

Miss Talented , Glenna Burns

I guess you've noticed in my past blogs, our life evolves around kids and old people. What a great combination!!!! We had a busy, but fun weekend. We had our Silvertone Thanksgiving Dinner, so we spent Friday night decorating for it, and Sat. getting everything ready. At the last count, we served 96 people. What a turnout!!!!! We furnished the turkey, dressing, cranberry sauce, and bread and they brought the rest. Boy can these people bring good stuff. No diets that day. The South Plains singers and Generations sang for us. Also, our own Glenna Burns did a Thanksgiving reading for us with the audience making sound effects from Glenna's cues. She is a blessing to our group and is alot of fun. It was nice Charla and I didn't have to do the entertaining. We changed the time of our party to 1:00 pm, so everyone could go home in time to watch the Raiders beat OSU!!! Way to go Tech!!

2 Buddies, Kadee and Ryder

Pa's out there now!!

Boy did my kids have fun today. The leaves on the Apricot tree are falling off fast. The kids played in them all day, making pies and just rolling in them. When "Pa" got home, along with Kourtney and Macy, they all decided the leaves needed raking. There were alot of busy bees putting and taking leaves in and out of the trash can. Even Kadee and Ryder got into the action. Isn't it funny what simple little things will entertain kids!! We play outside alot, so I'm not too excited about cold weather.
